Who we are
AI transformation starts and ends with people—not software, not algorithms. New Terrain was founded on decades of experience in data and analytics, where lasting innovation emerges from aligning people, processes, and technology.
We honor domain expertise and create the conditions for responsible, strategic, and scalable adoption of AI. Through workshops, alignment sessions, and human-centered design, we bring stakeholders together to build understanding, trust, and shared vision. Then we help you execute effectively within real-world resource constraints.
We believe AI belongs to us all - not just big tech firms or privileged cognoscenti. It’s a sweeping industrial revolution that touches every sector and community.
How we use and govern AI—in business, nonprofits, civil society, and government—will define our shared future. We owe it to the next generation to ensure this revolution is safe, inclusive, and equitable.
Our Leadership
Layne Morrison has spent over 20 years in analytics, across domains - from operations research and Lean Sigma to predictive analytics. That foundation prepared New Terrain to step confidently into the era of generative AI—while staying rooted in the practices that have always delivered value.
Throughout her career, Layne has worked across sectors and scales, including federal agencies, international development programs, and local nonprofits. This breadth has deepened her commitment to context-driven analytics—solutions that are not only technically sound, but also mission-aligned and culturally relevant.
This work is guided by a simple principle: when organizations understand their data, they unlock new capacity to lead, adapt, and thrive.
